Practise first-date small talk in Spanish — with an AI that grades you
A medium-level scenario where charm depends on grammar: what you do, what you love, how long you've been here, a compliment that lands, and who pays.
A first date is small talk with stakes. You need the getting-to-know-you questions (¿a qué te dedicas? ¿qué haces en tu tiempo libre?), the gustar family to talk about what you love, llevar + time for how long you have lived somewhere, and a compliment that is warm without being much. You also need to avoid the handful of false friends that turn an evening awkward — embarazada is pregnant, not embarrassed, and estoy caliente is not about the weather.
Juntos rates "Una cita" medium: the AI plays a friendly, curious date who asks about you and reacts to what you say, so you practise both halves of a conversation. It is a good place for gustar and encantar, aunque and the other connectors from Connectors & Storytelling, and the past tense when the conversation turns to where you have been. Keep it smooth.

How the AI session works
You open the Una cita scenario (first-date small talk — keep it smooth) and the AI takes the other role. In the app this scenario is rated medium, which sets the vocabulary, sentence length and pace the AI starts with. You can also choose easy, medium or hard for any scenario, so the same conversation grows with you from A2 to B2.
Every message you send is scored 0–100 for grammar, vocabulary, fit with your level and how quickly you replied. Tap the score and you see one clear piece of feedback and the specific corrections: what you wrote, what a native speaker would have written, and why. Mistakes that keep recurring are filed into your Error Bank and come back in spaced-repetition reviews.
Prefer to speak? AI Call mode runs the same scenario by voice: tap the mic, say your line, and the AI transcribes it, replies out loud in Latin American Spanish and grades your spoken turn. For a situation like this one, doing it by ear is the closest thing to the real conversation.
