Actualmente means currently, not actually
Actualmente, soy de Canadá tells someone you're from Canada at the moment, as if that might change next week.
Actualmente looks like actually and sits in the same place, at the front of the sentence, so it's one of the slips English speakers make most without noticing. It means currently: actualmente trabajo desde casa (I currently work from home). The adjective works the same way: el precio actual is the current price.
English actually does several jobs, and Spanish splits them up. To correct something, en realidad: en realidad, soy de Canadá. To admit something a little awkward, la verdad: la verdad, no entendí nada (honestly, I didn't understand a thing). To add a stronger fact, de hecho: de hecho, ya lo compré (in fact, I already bought it).
If you're not sure which to use, en realidad is the safest all-rounder. And when you do mean currently, actualmente is a perfectly good word, alongside ahora and en este momento for everyday speech.
