3 mistakes learners make here

¿Cómo te llamas? → ¿Cómo se llama?. With an older neighbour you have just met, use the usted form; tú can sound over-familiar.
Estoy el nuevo vecino. → Soy el nuevo vecino. Identity takes ser.
Hace mucho caliente. → Hace mucho calor. Weather uses hacer + a noun (calor, frío, sol), not an adjective.
