How the AI tutor works

It knows your level

You start with a short placement, and the tutor works at your CEFR level from A1 to C1. The program is twelve tracks, each a short daily path: a lesson, a reading passage with questions, writing, and speaking. The tutor's corrections are pitched to that level, so an A2 learner isn't buried in subjunctive notes and a B2 learner isn't praised for a sentence a beginner could write.

It grades writing and speaking the same way

Type an answer or say it out loud. Spoken answers are transcribed and graded like written ones, with one difference: the tutor is lenient on things a transcript can't show, like accents. AI Call mode turns it into a real conversation: you speak, the tutor replies out loud in natural Latin American Spanish, and each of your turns gets a score.

It remembers your mistakes

Recurring slips (ser vs estar, gender agreement, present tense where the past belongs) are filed in your Error Bank and tracked from "working on it" to mastered. Your next session is built from them, so the practice goes where you actually need it instead of where a fixed course assumes you are.

What it won't do

An AI tutor is a practice partner, not a replacement for people. It won't give you the cultural back-and-forth of a real friend or teacher, and speech recognition still struggles with some strong accents (when it mishears you, you can type instead). Is there a free AI Spanish tutor?

Can an AI tutor correct my spoken Spanish?

Yes. Say your answer out loud and Juntos transcribes it, grades it out of 100 and shows the fix. Accents and spelling can't be judged from speech, so spoken answers are marked on grammar, words and meaning.

Which Spanish does the AI tutor teach?

Neutral Latin American Spanish with the tú form and ustedes, plus the phrases people actually use in Mexico. Spain-only forms like vosotros are shown in the conjugator but not taught.
