There is a reservation to confirm, a menu to ask about, a recommendation to request and evaluate, courses to sequence (para empezar… de plato fuerte…), a dietary restriction to state clearly, and — sometimes — a dish to send back without drama. Then the bill, and the local question of whether service is included. It is a long exchange with a lot of turn-taking, which is exactly what makes it useful.

Juntos rates "En el restaurante" hard: the AI waiter uses full sentences, describes dishes, asks how you want things cooked and does not simplify. You will need the preterite for complaints (pedí el término medio), ser for allergies, and the polite ¿nos trae…? forms throughout. 3 mistakes learners make here

¿Puedo tener el menú? → ¿Nos trae la carta, por favor?. Tener is possession; you ask the waiter to bring something. And the printed menu is la carta (el menú is usually the set meal).
Estoy alérgico a los mariscos. → Soy alérgico a los mariscos. An allergy is a lasting characteristic, so it takes ser.
Pido el pescado, no el pollo. → Pedí el pescado, no el pollo. When you are correcting an order that already happened, the verb is past — preterite.
