Practise booking a table by phone in Spanish — with an AI that grades you

The phone strips away everything that makes face-to-face Spanish easier: no gestures, no menu to point at, no reading the other person's face. You have to open properly (llamo para reservar…), give the size of the party and the time, spell a name letter by letter, ask the other person to slow down or repeat, and confirm the details before you hang up. It is the situation learners avoid longest and the one that most improves listening once you stop avoiding it.

3 mistakes learners make here

Llamo por reservar una mesa. → Llamo para reservar una mesa. Purpose — "in order to" — is always para.
Yo soy Martínez. → A nombre de Martínez. For a booking you give the name it is under, not who you are.
¿Puedes repetir? → ¿Me lo puede repetir?. A stranger on the phone gets usted, and Spanish wants the object pronoun: repeat it.
