Practise talking about your work in Spanish — with an AI that grades you
A hard-level scenario for interviews, networking and the question every new acquaintance asks: what do you do, what does that involve, and what did you do before?
Explaining your work is one of the first things people ask and one of the hardest to do well. It needs the professions without an article (trabajo como diseñador), encargarse de and ser responsable de for responsibilities, the present for routine, the imperfect for what you used to do and the preterite for what changed, and lo que más me gusta… to talk about what you enjoy. It is also, in an interview, where politeness and precision matter most.
Juntos rates "Hablar de tu trabajo" hard: the AI interviewer asks follow-up questions, wants specifics and does not let you hide behind vague answers. It brings together the past tense, daily routine and opinions, and the reply timer rewards answering at the pace of a real conversation. The phrases below are a template for a two-minute account of what you do.

How the AI session works
You open the Hablar de tu trabajo scenario (explain what you do & how you work) and the AI takes the other role. In the app this scenario is rated hard, which sets the vocabulary, sentence length and pace the AI starts with. You can also choose easy, medium or hard for any scenario, so the same conversation grows with you from A2 to B2.
Every message you send is scored 0–100 for grammar, vocabulary, fit with your level and how quickly you replied. Tap the score and you see one clear piece of feedback and the specific corrections: what you wrote, what a native speaker would have written, and why. Mistakes that keep recurring are filed into your Error Bank and come back in spaced-repetition reviews.
Prefer to speak? AI Call mode runs the same scenario by voice: tap the mic, say your line, and the AI transcribes it, replies out loud in Latin American Spanish and grades your spoken turn. For a situation like this one, doing it by ear is the closest thing to the real conversation.
3 mistakes learners make here
- Trabajo como un diseñador. → Trabajo como diseñador. Professions after ser or como take no article.
- Soy trabajando en una startup. → Estoy trabajando en una startup. / Trabajo en una startup. The progressive is estar + -ando; for a job that is simply true, the plain present is more natural.
- Estoy responsable de las ventas. → Soy responsable de las ventas. / Me encargo de las ventas. Responsibility is a role, so ser; encargarse de is the everyday alternative.
