Practise defending an opinion in Spanish — with an AI that grades you

A hard-level scenario with a low-stakes topic and high-stakes grammar: beach or mountains, argued with connectors, concessions and the subjunctive.

The topic is deliberately light — playa o montaña — so that all the effort goes into the language of argument: stating a view (para mí…), conceding a point (tienes razón en eso), contrasting (en cambio, aunque, sin embargo), doubting the other side (no creo que sea…, subjunctive) and imagining (si tuviera que elegir, me quedaría con…). Disagreeing politely in a second language is a real skill, and it is almost never practised.

3 mistakes learners make here

No creo que es una buena idea. → No creo que sea una buena idea. Doubt and denial (no creo que, dudo que) trigger the subjunctive in the second clause.
Soy de acuerdo contigo. → Estoy de acuerdo contigo. Agreement is a position you are in — estar de acuerdo.
Prefiero la playa que la montaña. → Prefiero la playa a la montaña. Preferir takes a, not que, before the second option.
