Practise asking a noisy neighbour to turn it down in Spanish, with an AI that grades you
A medium-level scenario for 1 a.m.: knock, say hello, decline the invitation to join in, and ask clearly and kindly for the music to go down.
It is one in the morning, you work early, and the party next door is just getting started. Asking a neighbour to turn the music down is a small negotiation: you want to stay friendly (you will see them on the stairs tomorrow), but you also need to be clear enough that something actually changes. In Mexico that usually means a greeting, an apology for interrupting, a reason (es que mañana trabajo temprano) and a softened request with ¿le podrías bajar…?, not an order.
Juntos rates "La fiesta del vecino" medium: the AI plays Memo, a cheerful and slightly tipsy neighbour in Guadalajara who would much rather you joined the party. He offers you a drink, changes the subject and only turns the music down when you ask clearly and politely. It is a good scenario for the conditional in soft requests, the subjunctive after te pido que…, and refusing an invitation without offending anyone.

How the AI session works
You open the La fiesta del vecino scenario (1 a.m., loud music next door: knock and ask nicely) and the AI takes the other role. In the app this scenario is rated medium, which sets the vocabulary, sentence length and pace the AI starts with. You can also choose easy, medium or hard for any scenario, so the same conversation grows with you from A2 to B2.
Every message you send is scored 0–100 for grammar, vocabulary, fit with your level and how quickly you replied. Tap the score and you see one clear piece of feedback and the specific corrections: what you wrote, what a native speaker would have written, and why. Mistakes that keep recurring are filed into your Error Bank and come back in spaced-repetition reviews.
Prefer to speak? AI Call mode runs the same scenario by voice: tap the mic, say your line, and the AI transcribes it, replies out loud in Latin American Spanish and grades your spoken turn. For a situation like this one, doing it by ear is the closest thing to the real conversation.
3 mistakes learners make here
- La música es muy ruidosa. → La música está muy fuerte. Loud music right now is estar + fuerte (or alta); ruidoso describes a noisy place or person in general.
- Te pido que bajas la música. → Te pido que le bajes a la música. Pedir que asks for something to happen, so the next verb goes in the subjunctive: bajes, not bajas.
- Son la una de la mañana. → Es la una de la mañana. One o'clock is singular, so it is es la una; from two onwards it is plural: son las dos.
