Mistakes learners make with ir
- Ir a + infinitive is the everyday future: voy a viajar. The simple future (viajaré) is right too, a little more formal.
- The preterite fui is shared with ser: fui al mercado (I went), fui feliz (I was).
- The -ing form is yendo, with a y: estoy yendo a casa. Llendo isn't a word.
